A second appeal by Mobile Refrigeration Specialists against a $56,200 fine following the fatal Icepak Coolstores fire at Tamahere was dismissed this month.

Apologies to readers of today’s earlier post reporting the appeal. Justice was swifter than I expected.

Justice Heath heard the application by MRS to appeal the amount of the fines to the Court of Appeal on June 1 and gave a decision not to allow the appeal to go forward on June 4.
