Have a say – twice
Jul 31st, 2011 | By Philippa Stevenson | Category: Hot Topics, Latest NewsCommunity and Environment Tamahere’s annual meeting is being held at 7.30pm on Tuesday, August 2 in the Tamahere Community Centre.
Both the group’s financial members and those who support its cause are invited to attend the meeting.
Another important upcoming date to note is Friday, August 12 – the deadline for feedback on the Tamahere Community Plan.
The review of the community plan is a one-in-seven year chance for ratepayers and residents to shape the document and their community by giving their thoughts and suggestions on what they want in and for Tamahere. The first plan was produced in 2004. Click here for details on the plan and feedback forms.
Community and Environment’s annual meeting presents another opportunity to be involved in the community. The action group, which successfully represented locals over the Titoki Sands quarry, is “committed to protecting the lifestyle values of the greater Tamahere area”.
The agenda for Tuesday’s meeting will include reports by the chairman, treasurer, election of committee members and general business. Only financial members will be eligible to vote.
