Tamahere people keen to be entertained are spoilt for choice this Saturday.

The annual Pumpkin Night is on from 4pm to 8pm at Tamahere School and music lovers can enjoy a talented line up at Hilltop Wines’ Sunset concert from 3pm to 9.30pm or just fit in the last couple of hours after the Pumpkin Night.

Meanwhile, earlier in the day CTC Aviation is holding an open day for wannabe pilots to check out its pilot training programmes.

Tamahere School’s popular annual, carnival-style Pumpkin Night is set for Saturday, March 24.

In a busy line-up of local events the school’s golf fundraiser is on before that on Friday, March 16 at the Narrows Golf Course.

This month’s Hilltop Wines Sunset Concert will be bigger and glitzier than previous events, says host Phil Abel.

“We’ve really pulled out all the stops this year and put together a really fantastic line up,” says Abel of the March 24 concert at the Pencarrow Rd Winery.

Performers, Sola Rosa, Cornerstone Roots, Paul Ubana Jones, Billy TK Jnr, Swamp Thing and the Ashley Knox Band, will be playing from 3pm to 9.30pm.
