Tamahere market – July 17

Share

Wrap up warmly and head for Tamahere on Saturday morning for the unmissable monthly country market.

The cute factor will be high this time with floppy eared rabbits and cuddly puppies on sale. Also new to the market, local potter Jenny Taris will be selling her popular wares, another stall making its first appearance will be stocked with children’s educational resources while Colin Nicol is back with his beautiful and unique custom-made knives.

All the popular homestyle produce and goods, gourmet food and drink, arts and crafts will feature along with seasonal goodies. What better than to take home a crusty loaf, smoked fish or chicken, venison salami or your favourite, distinctive market cheese and share with family and friends over lunch.

Many market food buys keep well in the fridge or pantry, providing tasty treats for a week or more. Market arts and crafts for gifts, to wear, use or decorate your own home give even more lasting pleasure. And a top market delight is to catch up with friends – just remember to look up from the stallholders’ attractions occasionally to see who is walking by!

Tamahere Market is held in the St Stephen’s Church grounds, corner of Airport Rd and Tamahere Drive, (just off State Highway 1) from 8am to 1pm this Saturday, July 17, and the third Saturday of every month. For more information, including a map of where to find the market click here.
