Stolen police car found in Tamahere
A police car stolen from a drink drive checkpoint in Hamilton early this morning has been found, undamaged in Tamahere.
The vehicle, a Holden Commodore Executive station wagon, in full yellow and blue police livery, with the registration number DMZ752, was taken from the corner of Memorial Drive and Bridge St, between 2.20am and 2.45am on Sunday (August 8).
The car had been found in Tamahere by mid-morning. No arrests have been made, according to news reports.
