Last year’s first twilight market with its creative gift ideas was popular with present hunters and this year’s event, on from 4pm to 8pm, will again feature crafts and Christmas fare.

Carol singers will add to the Christmas atmosphere, and the church and hall, decked out in their best Christmas livery, will be open to visitors.

The St Stephen’s Christmas Festival will run each day from December 4 to 24 from 10am until 4pm with choirs singing at 11am and 2pm.

The Tamahere festival is always a great way for family and friends to capture the true Christmas spirit of sharing and giving while picking out special Christmas decorations and enjoying a cup of tea and home baked Christmas cake or scones and cream.

The regular Tamahere Country Market is also on Saturday, November 20 and Saturday, December 18 from 8am to 1pm.

Hi, Cherry Davis, a friend of mine from Freeset, suggested I contact you. I make candle lanterns from recycled materials. I wondered if I could sell them at your twilight market? They are colourful and create a great atmosphere, but I would probably need to start selling them from 6pm till 8pm, as it’s too light to appreciate the effect before then.
They are great for light at BBQ’s, home gardens, or carol services. The lantern can be reused indefinitely by replacing a standard supermarket candle. Let me know what you think.

      Hi Liz,
You need to contact the Tamahere Market organiser Jane Manson. I’ve passed your query on to her. If you want to contact here directly click here to email her.
