This Saturday’s Tamahere Market will be the place for anyone with a sweet tooth.
New stallholders this month will be offering good, old fashion boiled sweets – just like grandma enjoyed.
Also new to the market will be sweet pastries called Hungarian twirlies.
Also sweet but to be relished in a different way will be tulips and orchids, and beautiful Waikato photography. Mussel Madness will be sizzling and the coffee will be great, enthuses organiser Jane Manson.
“Carole Jarrett will have their award winning smoked fish available as usual. We congratulation them for being runners up to the top award in this year’s New Zealand Farmers’ Market Taste Awards Freshest from the sea/river category.
“Wear your winter woollies and bring a friend!” Manson urges.
