The latest exhibition to grace Tamahere’s Inspirit Gallery has the aaaah factor.
The Homeward Collection by multi-award winning Wellington-based artist Veronica Young is a nostalgic look at the relationship between objects and memories.
On show over summer, Young’s work mixes images of old momentoes and trinkets, which have a vintage patina to conjure up thoughts of times long past. The exhibition will run until January 31.
Meanwhile, the Pencarrow Rd Inspirit Gallery has scored its own successful showing. It features prominently in a new book – on the cover as well as inside – in Art Galleries to Visit in New Zealand by Denis Robinson and Gaye Ingold.
The book features over 130 outstanding art collections open to the public – perhaps a perfect Christmas gift for artists and art collectors.
Inspirit Studio & Gallery is at 360 Pencarrow Road, Tamahere. Click here for Inspirit’s website.
