Tamahere’s January market promises to be a fun and laid back affair compared to its somewhat frantic pre-Christmas counterpart.
It will be great to catch up with friends and the market ‘family’ on Saturday (January 21), says organiser Jane Manson speaking for all regular market goers.
And what has Jane and the Family Market got in store this month?
“We have apricots coming from Otago. Mark comes to us every year for three months, bringing us the golden produce from down south,” she says. “He has beautiful produce and we look forward to it every year.”
“Jack and Cheryl are also back with their apples – awesome local produce! And if you haven’t tried one yet, we have crepes at the market. I believe the Nutella version is to die for!
“We also have stone sculpture, which is new to us, and a number of other different stallholders to kick off 2012.”
The Tamahere Market runs from 8am to 1pm in the St Stephen’s Church grounds on Tamahere Drive. For more on the market, including directions see here.
