An opportunity for Tamahere ratepayers to see the plans afoot for the rates they pay is on this Thursday at an open session in the Tamahere Community Centre.
What rates are spent on is detailed in the Waikato District Council’s 2012-2022 draft long term plan, a blueprint for the decade ahead, and now is the time to have a say by making a submission before its provisions are nailed down.
The plan presentation in the community centre on Thursday, April 26 is from 6pm to 7.30pm.
Councillors make their decisions based on what they believe the community wants and needs. Submissions, which close on May 9, are one of the ways ratepayers help councillors understand what they think of what has been developed in the draft plan.
