A market for winter warmers
As the weather cools, this Saturday’s Tamahere Market will be a great place to pick up winter warmers.
Woolen wear for babies, children and adults from top to toe, socks to scarves will be coming into their own. A visit to the Church Hall will provide a chance to see angora fibre and wool being spun.
Meantime, to bring on that warm feeling from the inside the food range will include Maori bread, steamed puddings, Cornish pasties and great tasting gluten-free baked goods. Walnuts are also in season.
For some nostalgia there will be beautiful jewellery made out of old New Zealand coins among the art and craft stalls.
The Tamahere Market is held at Stephen’s Church grounds, cnr Airport Rd and Tamahere Drive, this Saturday, May 19 and the third Saturday of each month from 8am to 1pm.

Namaste – it’s Barbara (Barbs) and I’m grateful for my market days @ Tamahere when I started ‘Lucky Undies’ Superfine Merino underwear, which later changed to “Merino Basewear” Superfine Merino Star Sacred World Healer, Angelic Frequency Healer and Universal Love Teacher of CAEAYARON Great Mountain of Light. And so very grateful to Suzanna Maria Emmanuel that these beautiful healings are possible. Highest & best wishes, Barbara Derecourt
