The monthly work session this Sunday (June 3) at the Tamahere Community Nursery will be dedicated to potting on seedlings … and more.
“With many of our plants already gone out into gullies, space is available to start potting on more seedlings in readiness for next year,” said Jan Simmons of the nursery and Tamahere Gully Care.
But the session, which starts at 1.30pm, will also be a social time for sharing stories and knowledge with others, she said.
And the nursery adjacent to the Tamahere Community Centre also still has good stocks of manuka, kanuka, karamu, ribbonwood, cabbage tree, mahoe and dianalla and a limited range of other species.
“So, if you are looking for plants for your gully, be in quick,” Jan urged.
