The activity at the monthly workshop at the Tamahere Plant Nursery on Sunday, August 5 will be about planting for the future.
In July, around 20 people joined a working bee to weed the Whewells Bush Scientific Reserve.
“What a difference 20 people made towards removing tradescantia from the reserve,” said a delighted Jan Simmons, from Tamahere Gully Care.
“This month we will be back at the nursery in Devine Road potting on seedlings for next year’s plantings. The starting time this Sunday, August 5, will be 1.30pm.”
For those looking for gully plants, a selection of colonising plants are available for planting out this year.
All are welcome at the nursery on Devine Rd, adjacent to the Tamahere Community Centre.
