This month’s Tamahere Gully Care working session will be at the Devine Rd plant nursery on Sunday (September 2).
It will start at 1.30pm.
“Come along and enjoy the social time potting on seedlings and sharing stories and knowledge about gully restoration,” says organiser Jan Simmons.
Jan also advises that for those keen to get their hands dirty planting trees a public planting is being held at Lake Areare (on Driver Road near Ngaruawahia) on Saturday, September 1, with 3000 plants to go in the ground between 9.00am and noon.
This planting is part of the national Living Legends Muck-in. See the Living Legends website for more information.
