The Tamahere Plant Nursery can still offer a few plants to those revegetating their properties but stocks are running low.
That makes the regular monthly working bee this Sunday, August 4, doubly important as a chance for volunteers to pot on seedlings for next year’s planting.
The nursery offers low cost plants to locals and organiser Jan Simmons says anyone wanting particular species can check availability with her. Ph 856 8995.
Sunday’s potting sessions will start at 1.30pm at the nursery, adjacent to the Tamahere Community Centre, Devine Rd.
“Come along and enjoy the social interaction while potting on seedlings for next year’s plantings,” Simmons says.
