The weather is forecast to be fine and sunny for this Saturday and the Tamahere Market.
Perfect for getting out to buy up tasty treats like the Volare range of breads, buns, croissants, slices and pastries and teaming them with coffee or tea at the market or back at home.
Also a great opportunity to sample some of the spices and spice mixes from new stallholder Leena Irani whose range, Leena Spices, is so good it has been accepted to sell on Amazon.
Keeping to the mouthwatering and warming theme the popular mussel fritters will also be back while on the ever popular barbecue will be a fundraising team from Hillcrest school.
Among the many cleverly-wrought arts and crafts will be a slice of old New Zealand – stylish jewellery made from old NZ coins. Money never looked better.
“Lots to see and taste!” says market organiser Jane Manson. “We’re looking forward to a beautiful winter’s day.”
The Tamahere Market is held on the St Stephen’s church grounds, corner of Airport Rd and Tamahere Drive, from 8.30am to 1pm. For more detail, including a map, see here.
