St Stephen’s Church is actively looking for a new vicar following the departure of the Rev Sandy Neal.
The full-time position has been advertised by the Anglican Diocese of Waikato and Taranaki with applications closing this Friday, July 18.
The new Vicar at St Stephen’s will be blessed by a welcoming, inclusive church family full of potential to respond to those in need, reads the advertisement (PDF).

Worship has been offered on the Tamahere site of St Stephen’s for nearly 150 years. The existing church buildings date from the 1970s, with alterations made in 2003.
The ad notes that the church hosts the thriving monthly Tamahere Country Market, njoys close relationships with local schools and the retirement village, and extends ministry to the church of St David’s, Matangi. The enduring and much-loved Christmas Festival is a highlight of the parish calendar.
Rev Sandy Neal went to St Stephen’s in 2009 and departed earlier this year.
