Santa is in need of more helpers.
The event that puts the Santa or Christmas spirit in Tamahere more than anything else is the iconic, 27-year-old Tamahere Christmas Festival.
But an appeal for more locals with art and craft skills to help keep the event running has so far drawn only a limited response.
The Festival’s Bev Greene is grateful for the help offered but would dearly love to have more Tamahere people involved in the event that draws people from near and far to Tamahere in December.
A meeting will be held at 1.30pm on Wednesday, August 6 in the St Stephen’s Church Hall for people interested in contributing their art, craft or organisational skills to the hardworking group that needs some fresh legs.
Anyone interested in contributing but unable to make the meeting can email Bev Greene, firstname.lastname@example.org or St Stephen’s Church at email@example.com or phone the church on 07 856 2937.
