The last Tamahere Market of the year this Saturday is beautifully timed for Christmas present buying.
It is also one of the best places to buy NZ-made gifts and goodies for Christmas parties and get-togethers.
The list of unique or rare gift ideas that can be found at the market is long and includes calendars printed by Bron Alexander, screen printed tea towels nobody else will have, and ceramic angels with undies on!
It’s also the place for fig jam, doggie treats for the pooch that has everything, crafted jewellery, stone garden art, embroidered cushions, hand-made soaps, hemp oil, and olive oil.
For a spot of the Christmas spirit there is also the chance to sit and enjoy the colourful and joyful displays in the Church and hall, which are all part of the month long St Stephen’s Christmas Festival that runs Monday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm, right up to midday on Christmas Eve. Carols are sung at 11am and 2pm.
The Tamahere Market is in St Stephen’s church grounds, corner of Airport Rd and Tamahere Drive. It is open from 8.30am to 1pm. More detail here.
