Got a way with a glue gun, a sewing needle or a paint brush and have some time to spare on Thursday mornings?
A craft group meets every Thursday morning from 9.30am to 12.30pm in the St Stephen’s Church hall to fashion the fabulous Christmas decorations and more that are sold at the annual, fundraising Christmas Festival.
Nearly a dozen women gather already and they’d welcome more to swell their numbers.
Organiser Bev Greene says as well as glue guns, needles and paint brushes there are openings for anyone with craft making skills of any nature.
The group has a long tradition. For much of the festival’s 28-year history the craft group has met in the barn of Tamahere identities Christine and Rex Pickering.
Now it’s shifted to the church hall. Anyone interested in contributing their craft skills – and let’s face it – a good natter should go along on Thursday mornings or phone Bev Greene on 07-843 4103.
