This month’s working session at the Tamahere Community Nursery is on Sunday, April 12, a week later than usual.
Delayed to avoid a clash with Easter, the session at the Devine Rd plant nursery from 1pm will focus on potting seedlings. All volunteers welcome.
The nursery will also be open for plant sales.
Organiser Jan Simmons says stocks include reasonable numbers of colonizing plants such as manuka, kanuka, lacebark, ribbon wood, cabbage tree and sedges as well as other native plants suitable for gullies and stream banks.
Now is the time to start thinking about planting, she says.
