Call to pot plant pinching pair
Thieves have been spotted stripping plants from the new landscaping on Wiremu Tamehana Drive in a brazen daylight robbery.
Yesterday afternoon, alert Tamahere School parents saw two women, thought to be in their early 20s, loading filched plants into a car parked in one of the road’s parking bays.
When approached by a local the two sped off in a car that was said to be loaded with plants.
The car’s number plate has been reported to police, Tamahere Forum has been told, but this and other details about the pair and the car – make, model, colour – are unknown. They were seen around 3pm.
Did you see the pair in action? Do you have any details about them or their car?
Let us know here and help pot the cheapskate gardeners.
I drove past earlier in the day and noticed a white or light coloured car parked in one of the parks. It caught my eye as I have never seen anyone park there before. It looked like a hatch shape rather than saloon but it would have been around 11.30am.
