Foodies rejoice. Next Saturday’s Tamahere Market will have even more mouthwatering morsels than usual.
Smoked mussels, fresh, Buffalo mozzerella and Hungarian smoked salamis will all make an appearance thanks to a new market stallholder.
Add these tasty treats to the wonderful fresh produce – figs, pears, beans, Jerusalem artichokes, feijoas, avocados and more – for a gourmet meal like no other.
Market organiser Jane Manson also gives the lowdown on how to make the most of the market.
“If you come early grab your porridge with super toppings from Paige Millar and wander over for a coffee and your morning is perfect!”
Development of Tamahere’s new sport and recreation grounds mean the Devine Rd parking area, along side the Tamahere Community Centre and the Antique and Collectors Fair, is now unavailable.
However, a new parking area is even more conveniently placed for the market. It is on Tamahere Drive, directly opposite the St Stephen’s Church grounds.
Look out for the signs (and pedestrians!).
Where and when
The Tamahere Market is held in the St Stephen’s Church Grounds, corner of Airport Rd and Tamahere Drive, on the third Saturday of every month from 8.30am to 1pm. For more detail including directions click here.
