It’s likely to be wrap up warm for this Saturday’s (May 21) Tamahere Market – or get along to stock up on some winter woollies.
Warming scarves, hats and gloves will be coming to the fore amid the market’s eclectic range of unique attire now that winter proper seems finally to have arrived.
Also among the winter fashion will be what organisers promise is a “fabulous” sample of handcrafted leather bags.
On the nosh front will be the last of the autumn produce, among them delicious feijoas.
For those who like to do their gardening small there will be enchanting terrariums and for those who like it on the larger scale plenty of trees and shrubs.
It’s planting time for the latter so the market’s selection is bound to hit the spot.
Tamahere Market is held in St Stephen’s church grounds on the corner of Airport Rd and Tamahere Drive, from 8.30am to 1pm, every third Saturday of the month. For more details including directions click here.
