Meeting to support centre

Tamahere Community Centre Committee will hold its annual meeting on Thursday, September 8, 7.30pm at the centre.

The Devine Rd centre is a community building on community land and governed by a committee of local volunteers whose aim is to ensure the centre gets maximum community use.

Locals are welcome at the meeting and urged to attend to support a vital community asset.

The committee also works to develop more facilities and features at the centre and to ensure they are well maintained for future generations to enjoy.

The centre was opened on August 20, 2006 and is a modern, state-of-the-art, flexible-use community centre.

Typical uses of the centre include large and small social functions, indoor sports and recreation including bowling, indoor soccer, school activities, school assemblies, dances, parties, weddings, social events, meetings and community events such as balls, fairs and expos.
