The latest design for Tamahere’s upcoming spaghetti junction – the Waikato Expressway’s Hamilton section southern interchange – is again open for public viewing.
For those who missed the first information session a month ago, the design for the complex State Highway 1 interchange centred on Cherry Lane is set to transform the local road network in northern Tamahere.
NZTA and its contractors will reveal the latest design at an information day in the Tamahere Community Centre on Wednesday, September 14 from 2.30pm to 7pm.
It will change property access for many who live there.
The interchange will extend from the Mangaone Stream in the north to the current Tamahere intersection at Airport-Tauwhare Rd. It will include roads and flyovers that will link east and west Tamahere.
The information day is designed to let locals know how the interchange will look and work, how it will affect access to properties, how traffic will flow and what noise and visual impacts it will have.
For more information phone 0800 322 044 and be prepared to leave a message. Or follow the Waikato Expressway Facebook page.
