Market delivers meal bag
It’s a cinch to leave the Tamahere Market with a week’s worth of tasty meals in our baskets.
Then there are the immediate treats – pastries, cakes, coffee – that we all enjoy at the market or soon after.
Depending on the weather it may be a quick dash to stock up or, with luck, a more leisurely stroll and a chance to also chat with friends and neighbours.
“Tamahere Country Market is an all-weather market and we have a trusty band of site holders that have persevered over winter,” says market organiser Jane Manson. “Actually it hasn’t been too bad.”
With Christmas on the horizon present lists are likely to be coming out, too. One likely gift contender is a beautiful range of skin care, another is garden art.
And if shoppers are planning their gardens, there are a wide range of plants offered at Tamahere that represent good value from vegetable seedlings to shrubs and trees.
Tamahere Market is held in the St Stephen’s Church grounds, corner of Airport Rd and Tamahere Drive, from 8.30am to 1pm, the third Saturday of every month. For more detail on the market click here.
