Avocados are making a welcome return to the Tamahere Market this Saturday, September 16.
But take note keen avocado on toast smashers and guacamole makers: stock up while you can.
“The avo season has been difficult due to low pollination so we are please to have them available,” said market organiser Jane Manson.
Also on the market-inspired menu will be smoothies and icecream, honey and eggs, and coffee and doughnuts.
And Jane’s weather app promises sunshine with a touch of cloud. In other words perfect market weather.
Of course, lots more on offer including arts and crafts, fresh and cooked food, furniture and collectibles and plants and tools for the garden.
The Tamahere Market is held at the St Stephen’s Tamahere church grounds, 8am to 1pm, corner Airport Rd and Tamahere Drive, each third Saturday of the month. For more detail click here.
