A community carol sing-along will be held at St Stephen’s Tamahere church from 6.30pm this Saturday.

The Cambridge Brass Band will accompany the carols

The Cambridge Brass Band and other local performers, including ukelele players, will lead the event.

It’s a family friendly occasion, the Lions will be operating a barbecue and free parking will be available opposite the church grounds.

All are welcome at the church grounds in Tamahere Drive.

The video below gives a taste of the band when the ensemble played carols and Christmas songs at the Waikato Museum last year.

If the weather is bad on Saturday, the event will be moved to Sunday, December 10.

From December 11 to 15, St Stephen’s will also host carol singing daily at 10:30am in the church. Carols will be sung by local schools and choirs, with services lasting about 30 minutes.

The Christmas Festival Shop is also open daily except Sunday from 10am to 4pm in the church hall, selling a wide range of gifts and decorations, including Christmas decorations and wreaths, table runners and centres, nativity sets, and the Vicarage crabapple jelly.
