Tamahere’s Inspirit gallery will feature a magical exhibition of contemporary impressionist paintings of Hobbiton through the eyes of a highly regarded international artist in June.
Artist Kristen Olson Stone’s art is in the collection of former USA president Barack Obama and wife Michelle – just one of a long list of her achievements in the art world.
A visit to Hobbiton inspired Olson Stone, who is currently Auckland based, and she has created a beautiful collection of impressionist paintings of Hobbiton.
The exhibition is on from June 11 to June 30 and is timed to coincide with the National Agricultural Fieldays directly across the Waikato River from Inspirit Gallery at Mystery Creek.
Inspirit is a destination gallery and sculpture garden nestled in its stunning rural setting halfway between Cambridge and Hamilton and only five minutes drive from Hamilton Airport.
The spacious, purpose-built gallery showcases the best of New Zealand art and design and has become a leading local attraction since it opened 12 years ago.
