Postal voting is underway in the local body elections and votes need to be in the mail by Tuesday, October 8 to be in time for the close of voting, noon, Saturday, October 12.

If you are running late, a mobile voting box will be at Tamahere’s Punnet Cafe on October 11 from 1pm to 2.30pm.

There will also be drive through voting available at the Matangi Four Square on Tuesday, October 8 between 7.30am and 9am.

Otherwise, after Tuesday, October 8, votes can be dropped off at one of the Waikato District Council offices or libraries.

All voters should have received their voting papers in the mail by now. If not, contact Election Services on 0800 922 822 or go to one of the council offices.

Although electoral rolls have now closed, voters can still enrol to vote until 4pm, Friday, October 11. They will need to request special voting documents. More information on how to enrol on www.votewaikato.co.nz.
