Thursday, October 31 promises to be a busy night in Tamahere depending on your definition of family fun.
Take your pick from attending the Tamahere Community Centre annual meeting, marking Halloween or attending the St Stephen’s Light Festival.
To lend a hand with the management of the centre, get along to its meeting at 7.30pm in the Devine Rd hall where new committee members will be welcome. More information here.
At St Stephen’s Church on Tamahere Drive, family games, sausage sizzle, lollies and other entertainment will begin at 5.30pm and go through to 8pm. Participants are encouraged to dress up in “family-friendly” costumes.
Meanwhile, locals keen on Halloween and getting about as ghouls and ghosts ask those happy to welcome them to their doors to indicate that by putting the pumpkin, (pictured below) on their letterbox.
