The first of the regular markets held in Tamahere is returning after the Covid-19 lockdown hiatus with Tamahere Lions’ Best Artisan Market re-appearing on Saturday, June 13.
The Tamahere Country Market will be back the following weekend, on Saturday, June 20 in the St Stephen’s Church grounds.
Organisers are thrilled with the return to the new normal, which will entail whatever Covid-19 guidelines are required by the return dates.
“It’s fantastic to be back up and running,” said Susan McHugh of Tamahere Lions, thoughts echoed by Jane Manson, organiser of the country market.
The Tamahere Lions’ Best Artisan Market will be on Saturday morning, June 13, from 9am to 1pm, at the Tamahere Community Centre, next to Tamahere School, 21 Devine Road.
Indoor and outdoor stalls will be selling gifts, crafts, food, coffee, clothes, produce, jewellery, candles and more as stallholders make a welcome return to face to face marketing.
Tamahere Lions will also be collecting good quality toys, books and clothes for Kids in Need Waikato, eye glasses for recycling and wine bottle tops/can tabs for KidsCan.
