Year’s last market promises delights

Just days before Christmas Day, the last Tamahere Market of the year promises finds to delight the trickiest of people to buy gifts for.

Among the many unique goodies at the market will be hand-made earrings and other jewellery, and succulent plants that make a very trendy gift.

Combine the plants with a macrame hanger and you’re likely to ace it with the hardest to please.

There will also be beautiful, stained glass work for outdoor sculpture and a range of clever collectables.

“We hope to finish the year on a high,” says organiser Jane Manson.

“But whatever the weather we will be open and happy to scan vaccine passports.”

It will also be the last day of the Tamahere Christmas Festival shop and tea rooms with its Christmas gifts and decorations that give you a chance to buy while doing good for charity. See here for more details.

Tamahere Market is held in St Stephen’s church grounds, corner of Airport Rd and Tamahere Dr from 8am to 1pm, every third Saturday of the month. For more information click here.
