Covid-19 restrictions tighten

New Zealand will raise its Covid-19 alert level from midday, Wednesday, August 12 after four cases of the disease from an unknown source were detected in an Auckland family.
The more restrictive alert levels will apply for three days until midnight on Friday, August 14 before being reviewed. Outside of Auckland the alert level is 2; within Auckland it is level 3.

Airport hotel becomes isolation facility

Jet Park Hotel at the Hamilton Airport is to be an isolation facility until at least January 2021.

Its popular Propeller restaurant will also be out of bounds to the public for the next six months as the hotel does its bit “to keep Kiwis safe, according to the hotel’s website.
