Police suspect arson in a fire that damaged an unoccupied Tamahere Drive house near the Waikato Expressway on Saturday morning.
Three fire appliances from Hamilton and Cambridge attended the scene about 5am, Northern Fire Communications officer Scott Osmond said.

Electronics and jewellery were stolen in a daylight burglary of a Devine Rd house sometime on Monday (September 12).
Tamahere resident Cholena Forsyth is appealing for anyone who may have seen suspicious activity around her home at 94 Devine Rd to come forward.

Vandals hit Tamahere School overnight prompting a call for anyone in the area who might have seen activity around the school to come forward.
The vandals smashed a window and broke a padlock off the pool pump shed, said Tamahere School caretaker Allan Wickens.
