Oct 9th, 2017 | By Tamahere ForumTamahere School is to be used as a training ground of a different kind this weekend.
New Zealand Land Search and Rescue (LandSAR) will be using the school grounds and surrounding neighbourhood for a suburban search training exercise on Saturday (October 14).
Locals should not be alarmed if they see police cars and a lot of fluoro-clad people in and around the school and community, said Waveney Parker, a member of Hamilton LandSAR and Tamahere School principal.
