Waikato – open for business

The Waikato District Council has launched what it describes as an online prospectus – Open Waikato – a website designed for would-be investors, district newcomers and visitors.

“This is a fantastic resource for people who want to invest, live or visit the Waikato as it provides economic data, fact sheets on our towns and video case studies of businesses establishing themselves in the district,” said Mayor Allan Sanson.

The Waikato is simply New Zealand’s best business and lifestyle location, the council claims on Open Waikato’s economic overview page.

New website for district neighbours

Another community in the Waikato distict now has a dedicated website focusing on its local news, issues, events and features.

Number 8 Network was launched recently as an online hub for people living in and around Gordonton, Horsham Downs, Taupiri, Tauhei, Puketaha and other rural communities north-east of Hamilton.

Tamahere Forum, Tamahere’s digital hub since 2008, welcomes Number 8 Network and invites readers south of Hamilton to to see what our northerly district neighbours are up to.
